Upcoming Gigs:
Blues Invasion! Sunday, Nov. 18th in Snohomish, WA
Fellow Washington Blues Society members Sammy Eubanks and Sheri Roberts Greimes won the Band and Solo/Duo categories, respectively, at the 2018 International Blues Challenge in August; they'll compete against the rest of the world in Memphis in late January 2019. To help defray expenses of travel, accommodations and per diems, the WBS is putting on benefits to raise money. A whole street full of Blues along Front Street in historic Snohomish, all for one, low price of $10. My band, The RooTsters will be there. Such a deal!
The RooTsters will perform at the Oxford Saloon from 3:25 - 4:25 pm. Be there!

Besides working with the Emerald City Jug Band and performing solo, one of my mates in the jug band, Jim Nason and I started The Rootsters (orginally named Teeth, Hair & Eyeballs), which was designed to be a more appropriate vehicle for those lyrical (and sometimes mushy) originals than a jug band. Well, TH&E turned out to be a short-lived project but we do have a nice CD — originally titled "Live at the Teeth, Hair and Eyes' Ball (minus Hugo House)," now titled "Ten Left" — to show for our efforts. Get it at CD Baby.My involvement with the non-profit musical-education organization Victory Music keeps me busy on top of my music career. Give me a jingle at 206-890-6176 if you're interested in booking my solo roots-blues act, my singer-songwriter duo The RooTsters, or perhaps the family-friendly Emerald City Jug Band.
Every Friday night you'll find me running the weekly Victory Music open mic at the cozy La Copa Café in Seattle's Loyal Heights neighborhood (North Ballard). Victory Music is a 501(c)3 musical-education organization in WA state whose core service is hosting weekly ALL AGES open mics in Tacoma, Seattle and (soon) Everett. Victory Music is the alternative to tavern open mics - please support this worthy outfit to help keep live performance alive for all ages, genres and skill levels.
Sometimes gigs come up at the last minute. If you're not sure of a date, send me an e-mail to find out what's up; I check my mail every day. Better yet, my facebook page usually has the most up-to-date info. See you at the next gig! All the best,
